Back to Grad- project

It's the third day of grad- project and I need to get back on track. By next week I need to have have my notes and outline done. After that I have to come up with ideas for my action plan, but I'm not the right track as long as the Internet works with me.

· Did you know that you could be charged with child neglect if you don’t follow the guidelines the school gives you? Monica, the lady at the school, told them that if they refused to take Matthew to the doctor and get him on Ritalin, child protective services could charge them for neglecting his educational and emotional needs. They were intimidated and scared. They believed that there was a very real possibility of losing their children if they did not comply with the schools threats.

· Did you know that teachers are starting to blame ADHD for every behavioral problem? “In contrast, some teachers are willing to exaggerate .a child's behavioral problems because they know that children are more likely to get medication if they do so. Essential Question

My question is "How does Ritalin effect a child’s mental development?" The reason why I have chosen this a my question is because of how many child are on the medication. I want to know is it really a good idea to put a child on this drug. I'm also curious to know if doctor even use an alliterative for Ritalin.

1st blog

Before this year grad project was very foreign to me. I didn't really know that much about it. I heard bits and pieces of what you need to do during this project I heard a lot about presenting and donating to some sort of of group or foundation. Since hearing about grad project I've been thinking a lot about what mine should be on. I am really considering doing my graduation project about the effects of Ritalin has on the development of a child's mind. The reason why I'm so interested is because more and more children are being subscribed it.
